Love has been performing as a musician/singer/songwriter for about ten years. Originally working as the only female Irish Pub performer in the DC/Baltimore Metro area, she found that folk music and celtic music, although music she adored, was not her true desire. Quickly filling the shoes as a rock and roll singer, she found her calling as a performer and as a song writer.
"I still love celtic music and 60's politically fired folk music, but I have really found what I love in this collaboration with Lynn ( Rose )and the band. It is freeing to be on stage singing music you love and feel."
Love also says that she owes her passion and love of music to her mother. "She was my biggest influence growing up."
Her favorite artists include Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks, Melissa Etheridge, Grace Slick, and of course as everyone knows, Janis Joplin.
"The hardest part of any show, but also one of my favorite portions, is when we perform Me & Bobby McGee. So many people have commented on how much it sounds like Janis. I suppose that is the highest compliment you could ever achieve on that one.", Love says. "But without a doubt, I am enjoying more and more bringing original material to our sets. I used to be terrified of the concept, but we have had such a wonderful response on the original songs, that when a new song is finished, I can't wait to get out and play it for everyone."
